What Is It?
A simulation-based learning experience is defined as “an array of structured activities that represent actual or potential situations in education and practice. These activities allow participants to develop or enhance their knowledge, skills, and attitudes, or to analyze and respond to realistic situations in a simulated environment. (Pilcher, Goodall, Jensen, et al., 2012).”
Our medical practice and hospital-based customers are often looking for something to augment existing in-house education programs. Simulation has been shown to enhance needed skills such as critical thinking, leadership, emergency decision making, patient care skills, and overall learner confidence. Simulation, whether conducted in our facility or in situ simulation at the client’s place of business, can be performed safely and efficiently at a reasonable cost.
